Ski….. is back!

Another great week, spent the morning assisting my best mate coach some under 16 state team kids at aI training session, it was nice to get back to grass roots and give a little something back, it was also fun seeing the boys faces light up when I arrived, i’m happy to report that the future of Australian baseball looks very good. Funny Story: The manager was talking about taking infield and explained to the boys that ” its all about ball management “. Of course my sick sense of humour just assumed that he was teaching these 14 and 15 year old kids how to use clippers on their nether regions!!!!!!! NO PETER what he meant was basically hit the cut off man, how wrong I was.

Happy Birthday to me...

Thank you all for my birthday wishes, I had a great day. Man 32!!! Am I really that old? I still feel and more importantly act like i’m 12 so I guess nothing will change.

Having a ripping off season Frank....!!

Frank Wren had another stellar week ( he is number 1 in the fantasy GM rankings at this stage )  by resigning my boy Eric Hinke, it’s amazing the difference team chemistry can make to the success of an organisation as seen this year. Ski was an integral part of this and I cant wait to see what he has install for us next year. He also signed Scott Linebrink, now I don’t know Scott personally but from what I hear he is a great addition and from what I have seen he is down right nasty. Im still sending Wags an email a week trying to persuade him not to retire but it’s not working.

Recovery week is over! I have an off day tomorrow and then back in to the real workouts, booooooo.

What moves will happen this week??? Let me know what you think.

  7. Pete, glad to hear your real workouts are about to gear up again. Not too many more weeks and you'll be headed back to this hemisphere to get started on the 2011 season. I'll bet you're sick about Matty being forced to sign elsewhere. He was a good second banana in your comedy duo.

  9. I know Wags says he isn't coming back, yet he's still on the 40-man roster have any idea whats up with that? Organizational optimism? Your blog is great, but not as good as your slider. Looking forward to more of both in the next year.
